Placerville encompasses a very large area of varying topography -rolling hills, pastoral, or forested with oaks and pines. The streets of Main Street in Placerville feels like a visit to the Old West with antique shops and quaint restaurants. Remnants of the Gold Rush Days. Surrounding the old town are the newer parts of Placerville with the Wal-Mart's, Home Depot's and more.

There is quite an extensive wine growing region south of Placerville with award winning wines and wineries such as Charles Mitchell, Perry Creek, Fitzpatrick, Granite Springs and Windwalker - all located in close proximity to each other off Fairplay Road.

This is still considered a reasonable commute distance for buyers working in the Folsom, Rancho Cordova or Sacramento areas.

Auburn is located in beautiful Northern California, 110 miles northeast of San Francisco, 30 miles from Sacramento and 100 miles west of Reno. Allow the past to catch up with you as you visit the many antique shops and unique museums. Let a drive through the countryside refresh and revitalize you.

Outdoors enthusiasts thrill at the area's abundance of year-round recreational activities, while others marvel at the array of galleries, theater, musical and festival events. Shoppers love the large selection of boutiques, specialty shops and farmer's markets. Everyone enjoys the variety of restaurant choices from fine cuisine to family style dining.

For those who are looking for an alternative to the conventional subdivision and tract homes, the Auburn area is a wonderful place to call home. The areas surrounding Auburn retain their rural character and charm with rolling hillsides, year round ponds, natural streams and woodlands.


Plymouth and Fiddletown are located just south of El Dorado County in the Shenandoah Valley wine growing region. Gentle rolling hills lined with vineyards is a common sight.

Greenstone Country is located on the western edge of Placerville about 45 minutes east of Sacramento. It is a gated, equestrian community with 11 miles of private riding and hiking trails. There is also an outdoor riding arena for use by the homeowners, lakes for fishing and tennis courts. The easy commute, the custom homes and the scenic terrain make this a sought after area to relocate. Ranging from $500k-$2 million.

Sun Ridge Ranch and Sunridge Meadow are located approximately 4 miles south of El Dorado Hills off Latrobe Road. Sunridge Meadow has it's own 7 mile trail system and large community horse arena. Properties are comprised of 5-10 acre parcels with custom homes. Some homes have valley or Sierra views. Homes rarely come on the market here, so the demand is higher. Expect to pay at least $1mil to live in this custom rural gated community.

Shingle Springs is located 10 miles east of Folsom off Hwy 50. Equestrian oriented areas that include Milton Ranch, Milton Estates, Barnett Ranch, Royal Equestrian, Buckeye Rancheros and Shadow Hawk. Most are gated, equestrian communities of 5-10 acre parcels and custom homes. Prices range from $500k-$1.5mil.

Auburn Lake Trails is a gated community located in Cool, California. ALT is comprised of both homes on residential lots and homes on acreage. There are private horse trails within this community, and it also meets up with the Western States Trails system. There is also a golf course, tennis and swimming pool for the community residents. Home prices start in the $300k's.

Granite Bay is situated on the north shore of Folsom Lake about 25 miles northeast of Sacramento on the eastern edge of the Sacramento Valley at the base of the Sierra foothills.

The community boasts of a very high quality of life due to it's great location, sound community plan, first rate schools, numerous churches, a low crime rate and excellent recreation opportunities. The community is home to some of the Sacramento areas finest and most exclusive homes.

I've has been working with town and country buyers and sellers for the past 11 years.

I grew up in Northern California and love working with horse people. Just give me a barn full of hay to bring back those great childhood memories. I can even be coaxed on a trail ride, now and again.

I am proud Mom to 5 young adults (ages 22 to 33)and proud first time Grammie. I have lived with my dear husband of 34 years and family in El Dorado County for over 24 years.
